The USPS has announced that it will be “dropping a rule that currently requires an individual to have been deceased at least five years before being honored on a stamp. Under the new guidelines, living or recently deceased individuals will be eligible for commemoration on postage stamps”
I was going to write about what a bad idea it was and how GB would never do anything so tacky. Then I remembered that GB stamps have regularly featured living persons who have done nothing that deserves honouring; all they did was have the right parents or shag someone who did.
